This is a little about me:
I'm a married mom with two grown up sons. I still can't believe how fast they've grown up. I see boys of various ages and flash back to their childhood. The fun part now is that our oldest is married to a wonderful young woman and they're expecting their first baby (a girl) in July. We're very excited to be Papa and Gigi to our sweet granddaughter.
My dh, Al, is my resident handy man, tech wizard, and all round fun guy who I'm happy to have as my partner in life. We're enjoying traveling more now that we're both retired. A big favorite is cruising because we can each have our own interests but get together for meals, social, plus excursions off the ship.
I worked as a contact lens specialist at Frisco Eye Associates for 13 years. I went back to work to help with college expenses and stayed until a couple of years ago. It's grown at a crazy rate and I think it's the busiest (& best) office in Frisco. My social outlet is mostly through the Newcomer Friends of Greater Plano which is a wonderful women's group in my area. I've been a "newcomer" for the whole 17+ years I've lived here. It's a fun group to belong to and keeps me hopping. I'm the co-leader of the wine activity and Arts & Leisure.
I have a long list of things I want to do around the house and keep finding more on Pinterest and the various blogs I follow. I posted a few of the links on the front page but will add more from time to time. Please also check out my Pinterest page which is as always a work in progress. I decided to put together a blog because of the things I've either made or organized around my house and wanted a place to post without tormenting my Facebook friends. I don't consider myself creative as much as am willing to try new things and I figure if I can do it, anyone can. I plan on showing some of the things I've finished including my family room valances, my pantry re-do, my fall door decor (see the pic on the left - idea from Sand & Sisal), and some that are on the go now and in the near future. We downsized our house to a smaller one story and am still trying to corral those closets among other things.
